Nobody’s going to polish your trophies for you.

I waste too much time on the haters.

You know, the people who want to tear you down because you’re somehow threatening to their existence, their success, their efforts.

Even when their efforts are so mediocre.
If they only spent more time on themselves, they’d do better, you’d do better, and the world would be better.

The line came to me this afternoon as I was walking: Nobody’s going to polish your trophies for you.

Meaning: Don’t sit around waiting for the haters to come around. To praise you.

Or to wait on anyone to praise you.

No one’s going to do it for you.
Do it for yourself.
