While I’m baking another procrastination poundcake, why don’t you read this interview with Cheryl Strayed, in which she talks about coal mining being harder than writing and jealousy being bad for you, as well as what success means and what it doesn’t mean.
I didn’t read this as a Strayed fan girl– I never read her “Dear Sugar” column (though I read about it) and I haven’t even read Wild yet (I bought it for my mom, and she’s supposed to send it to me when she’s done), so this recommendation isn’t doe-eyed “It’s Cheryl Strayed!” hype.
Seriously, take a few minutes and read it. It’s good stuff.
I’ll be back in a bit– after I finish up some writing.
Great interview – thanks for the heads up!
